WHAT ARE THE POLICIES AT SKY RANCH?
The full list of Sky Ranch policies is available in the Event Contract. Below, however, are few important notes.
A Booking Deposit equal to 30% of the Contract Fee is required to confirm and hold the event date(s) and must be received within one (1) week of Contract signing.
Final Payment is due forty-five (45) days prior to the scheduled Event Date.
A Non-Refundable Cleaning Fee is part of the Contract Fee and included in the Final Payment. Costs associated with unclean premises may exceed the Cleaning Fee and Sky Ranch will require payment for excess costs immediately upon submission of invoices for such costs.
A Refundable Damage Deposit is also included in the Final Payment. Costs associated with damaged premises may exceed the Damage Deposit and Sky Ranch will require payment for excess costs immediately upon submission of invoices for such costs.
Late Receipt of Payments If the Final Payment is not received 45 days prior to the event, an additional 10% late fee shall be assessed. Should the Renter fail to make the full Facilities Fee in addition to the 10% late fee by 25 days before the event, Sky Ranch reserves the right to re-book the facility and retain all deposits received.
Cancellation or Rescheduling of Event If Renter cancels the event after execution of this agreement the Booking Fee is non-refundable. If the Renter elects to reschedule the event at an available date or hold a different event at Sky Ranch within one calendar year of the original event date, then the Booking Fee is transferable to such other date and applicable against the recalculated Facilities Fee. If Renter cancels the event after payment of the Final Payment, then Sky Ranch will retain 50% of the Contract Fee, net of Cleaning and Damage Deposits. Cancellation or rescheduling of the event must be submitted in writing or by email from the Renter’s Primary Contact. Cleaning and/or Damage Deposit(s) will be refunded within ten (10) days of event cancellation.
Smoking and Open Flames
Smoking is NOT allowed inside any building or on the deck areas at Sky Ranch. Smoking is only allowed in designated smoking areas and cigarette butts or other smoking materials must be disposed of in fireproof containers. IF THE U.S. FOREST SERVICE, STATE, COUNTY, OR OTHER LOCAL JURISDICTION HAS ISSUED A FIRE RESTRICTION ORDER FOR OUR AREA, ALL PROVISIONS OF SUCH AN ORDER MUST BE ADHERED TO.
Catering and Third Party Vendor(s)
Renter may engage vendor(s) or caterer(s) to serve at Renter’s event at Sky Ranch. Renter is responsible to ensure that all necessary permits and licenses are obtained for any vendor or caterer hired to provide services connected with Renter’s use of Sky Ranch. Renter shall provide proof to Sky Ranch that acts and/or omissions of the caterer or third-party vendor(s) are covered by Renter’s Event or Special Events Policy.
Special Event or “Event” Liability insurance
is required of all Renters. Renter must provide a Certificate of Insurance to SMR Properties no later than ten (10) days prior to the event, attesting the coverage described below. Failure to provide the required proofs of Insurance may result in the cancellation of the event and retention of deposits and fees. The insurance must, at Renter’s sole expense, provide and maintain public liability and personal property damage insurance, ensuring Sky Ranch Retreat Center, SMR Properties and Investments, LLC, and its owners, managers and employees, against all property damage, personal injury or other loss arising out of Renter’s use and occupancy of the premises and the acts and omissions of any caterers or other vendors engaged by Renter. The insurance required shall have a single limit liability of not less than $1 million, and general aggregate liability of not less than $2 million. SMR Properties and Investments, LLC, Sky Ranch Event Center, and their owners, manager, and employees shall be named as additional insured by such policy.
If alcohol is to be served such insurance policy shall include Host Liquor Liability coverage to protect SMR Properties and Investments, LLC, Sky Ranch and their Owners, Managers, and Employees against liability for alcohol-related accidents. Renter agrees Renter is ultimately liable for the safety of Renter’s guests.
